WAIT! IS THAT MACY GRAY OR A BANK MANAGER IN TRAINING?!?!?!
Well, OK -- I know the answer. This person IS Macy Gray. Is she jonzzzing for a come back/make over of "sell out" proportions and is she consulting with Oprah on her fashion sense?!?!? What I most appreciate is that she has hung on to a Doors logo on the conservative shirt as if to say, "Oh, God! Help me! This can't be my life?!?!" Oh, and I loved her flop CD's more than her first one. Could this be one of those endless signs that we really are slipping back into Eisenhower mode? ...or, is this one of those things that predicts the end of the world as we know it. You know something is wrong when Macy Gray looks corporate --- and, oddly "white".

Oh, Macy. Come back to the Stoner Five & Dime, Macy Gray Macy Gray! And, make it quick!

OK. I'm off the Mission for adventures untold!

What I cannot figure out and I feel I need to is: how does one hit song make a person stinking rich?

Seems Macy Gray is rich but WHY? How? Porque?

Gina -- You know, I think it is combination of a major label contract and the fact that she writes her own music and sells it out to folks like GAP and other corporate giants to use in their commercials. I think Cingular used one of her songs for a year. And, of course, she does well touring in the UK. When it comes to media --- if one is smart with investing -- all it can take is one hit. I know someone who is still living off something they created for a major over 8 years ago. Amazing the money an artist can make if she/he gets a hit.

Still, I hope it never leads one to strive for the bank manager or HR consultant look.
