COLOR ME A CURIOUS iPOD
...Peaches declares, amid the electronic funk of her new work, that she would rather fuck the one she wants than kill the one she's told. I rather like that.

Anyway, as I was lying on the examination table looking up at an annoying little happy face icon I thought of a couple of things:

1. My doctor would like to see me gain about 5 pounds or so but is unable to really articulate "why" and it is for this reason that I want to lose another 5. This need to sometimes do the opposite of what I am told is odd and a gift from my mother. ...who is even more odd.

2. I much prefer a Hello Kitty icon to a generic happy face icon.

and

3. I am so very curious to know if anyone else compulsively checks their iTunes to see which songs are listened to the most. You know the songs that you play the most. ...the ones that have the highest play counts since you've had iTunes or your iPod.

Here are my Top 10 Most Played Songs According to My iTunes (and we all know iTunes does not tell lies)

1. "Ride A White Horse" by Goldfrapp - - - - - ---------------- 196 times
2. "Evergreen" by Barbra Streisand --------------------------- 113 times
3. "Sleeps With Butterfiles" by Tori Amos ---------------------- 74 times
4. "Twist" by Goldfrapp ---------------------- -------------- 70 times
5. "Keep Love As Your Golden Rule" by HAL ------------------- 67 times
6. "The Power of Orange Knickers" by Tori Amos w/Damien Rice -- 62 times
7. "Sweet Blindness" by Laura Nyro --------------------------- 57 times
8. "Lost Inside of You" by Barbra & Kris Kristofferson ------------ 56 times
9. "A Sorta Fairytale" by Tori Amos --------------------------- 54 times
10. "Queen Bee" by Barbra ---------------------------------- 53 times

Now, share yours in my comments section!! I am most curious!

OH! My pal, Alan, -- you know, the cute one who is my roommate, wears way cool shoes and who Ing wishes to bake into a cake just put up his own website featuring his artwork! I am very excited and proud that he finally got this site up and running. I think he has a great eye!

What were you doing on that examination table? I hope it was nothing serious. You are right in doing the opposite of what the doctor told you. What does he know anyway? I am sure he was just jealous of how thin you are.

I am sorry I can't contribute anything to your 'Most frequently played on my iPod' opinion poll, because I don't have an iPod, but I think there'd only be one song uploaded anyway: Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart.

Hmm... Something tells me that my iTunes/iPod is lying to me, but here's what it says:

    1. Signals and alibis - Curve - 53x
    2. Ready - Charles Webster - 51x
    3. Boys on the radio - Hold - 50x
    4. Nothing without me - Curve - 46x
    5. Fresh feeling - Eels - 45x
    6. Way you walk - Papas Fritas - 42x
    7. You wouldn't like me - Tegan & Sara - 42x
    8. Joy - Curve - 40x
    9. Waiting - Shakespear's Sister - 40x
    10. Everyday is a holiday (with you) - Esthero - 39x

I dunno about these statistics... I mean, of course, Curve is on top with me, but where's Brandtson? Money Mark? The Velvet Underground? Saint Etienne? David Bowie? Kill City? Hot Chip? Love Psychedelico?

    My iTunes is lying....

k - i don't think he is jealous. old straight man. but, i just hate being told what to do and even more so when someone can articulate why they want me to do something. Bonnie Tyler rules!!!!
    How are things your way???

Mr. G! Yay! I miss hearing from you!!! I hope your iPod isn't lying, but mine was initially. For some reason when I re-booted it didn't lie anymore. Still, I was surprised. I really expected to see some other stuff and not so much of what I did -- tho, I do love all those songs that it says I play the most. ...I also listen to Peaches a lot more than I realized. ...and the soundtrack to SHOCK TREATMENT...

Queen Bee! My favorite Barbra song -- or maybe I mean the one I would listen to on purpose and of my own volition!

I think you should do what the doctor says. But five pounds under is no big deal, right?

I don't know how you keep it off, what with all those chocolate chip pancakes.

My god, I haven't upddated my blog is years, I think it's been. Matty, what should I write about? Lots of things are happening, but they're all so boring to hear about!!

Peaches. I adore Peaches. I have an ipod but a certain guy won't show me how to make it do that thingie it does where it plays songs. You know that thing? Oh, well.

I feel sick. I ate too much. Save me!

Why doesn't a certain sugar-cakes sweetie-sprinkle hang some of that art on his walls? It's nice! The world should know!

For crissakes, GO EAT SOMETHING. If a doctor tells you to GAIN WEIGHT you take that information and RUN to the nearest place with appealing food and GO FOR IT.

I don't have an ipod. So sad! But my little mp3 says the last eight played are:

Mille Lune, Mille Onde - Andrea Bocelli
La Belle Et Le Bad Boy - MC Solar
The A La Menthe - NikkFurie
    Gloria - U2
    Tonight Tonight - Smashing Pumpkins
    Breathe - Melissa Etheridge
Starry Eyed Surprise - Paul Oakenfeld
    She Said - Collective Soul

You can check how many times you've heard songs on an iPod? Man! I've gotta get one! I'm so tired of carrying around my CD player. Yes, I'm the only one that doesn't have an MP3 player. It takes me a while to catch up with technology, usually because it's expensive.
One thing I know for sure, I know I've been listening to Metallica a lot. In between albums, I'll squeeze in The Who and other music.

Matt would you please peel yourself off of B for five minutes and return to the Blogosphere, if only to let us know you are blissfully otherwise occupied?

    You are missed!

Karyn -- Good music! And, I promise I will be getting better with my blogging!!! Both reading and posting. Just seems so busy and I don't wanna peel off Byron! I like being stuck on him like a wet coat.

MetalChick -- Yeah! There are so many cool things one can do with an iPod! Much fun and way cool! I so loved that song M did with Marrianne Faithful in the 90's. I can't remember the name right now, tho.
