ON A LOOP...

Not sure why, but all I've played on my iPod since Saturday is "New Kicks" "Nanny Nanny Boo Boo" and "TKO" by LeTigre. On my way home this evening I thought to myself, "You have to stop!" ...so I took it off "repeat" and that playlist and selected shuffle -- as I am want to do.

...the first song my iPod played was "New Kicks" --- but then it led me into a soothing world of John Legend and Angie Stone. Still, I know I am probably a bit old --- but, kids, I like LeTigre a LOT!

You realize that 90 % of your music talks goes right over my head. I have NO idea who you are even talking about...

I saw Le Tigre and immediately thought of "We Like the Cars That Go BOOM" - but I think that was a completely different group. Bunny and Tigre sang it, right? What was the name of that group?

The name of that group was L'Trimm. A raunchy short lived rap group from the late 80's. Contemporaries of Kriss Kross and Salt and Pepa but not as successful.

Le Tigre is a pop punk trio formed by Bikini Kill founder and quintessential riot grrrl Kathleen Hanna in the late 90's.

Matt, you are so freakin' cool.

I wasn't trying to be bitchy in that comment. I am just thrilled that I know both L'Trimm and Le Tigre and that I am almost as cool as Matt.

Oh, Underling! No, that can't be true! You need to check out LeTigre -- they are awesome!

Hot Toddy! You're visiting my website! Yay!

Miss Marisol -- Oh, please --- you are so the Goddess of Cool! I am so glad you were able to think of L'Trimm -- I was banging my head trying to remember their name! I used to love Bikini Kill! But, I think I enjoy LeTigre more.

Matt, did you get to see Le Tigre live in the end? They totally kick ass! If you haven't seen them yet, I know you'll love them, so you really must make an effort next time they're in SF. I make a point of catching them whenever they're in London, as they're always great fun, and they always have cool support acts as well!
