MY FAVORITE IN 70mm!!!

tommy

Please note that I wrote "my favorite" --- it is by far not "the best" but I guess one would have to say that TOMMY is my favorite movie. I've seen it more than any other. Yes, even more than any Barbra, Fassbinder or Woody Allen movie. And, tonight the Castro Theatre is screening a new 70mm print!!! Milford and Alan are meeting me there at 6:45PM this evening. I can't wait!

And, has anyone watched the Chris Cunningham's "film" -- RUBBER JOHNNY besides me? I find it and Aphex Twin's "score" to be both profoundly strange and disturbing. I LOVE IT!!!!!

It was a lot of fun --- larger audience than I expected and people applauded and rang out approval during those infamous scenes which made it all the more fun.

Tina Turner, Ann-Margret/baked beans and Elton John scored the biggest reactions of the evening. Only downside was that the print was NOT new. Faded colors and lots of snags/pops. Still, much fun!

I never thought baked beans and chocolate (?) sauce could be so damn sexy ... I think I might want to spread them all over my body too!

Daltry was cute but did you think the daddy character was hot? I did!

Milford -- Are you kidding? Oliver Reed was so hot!?!? Check out the link I have on my blog for Trash Addict. He recently did a little tribute to the original British bad boy!
