Momma's Worry
There was a night club in my hometown during the mid-70's called "Momma's Worry" I was too young to know much about it, but they had the coolest logo/sign. It was circular with a star at the top and a funky looking cowgirl in bellbottoms with Farrah-type hair --- and she had a tiny little cig (which looked like home-grown-rolled joint) ...It was illustrated and in blue with very 70's type font. The club had a neon version of it that you could see as you drove past it. I always wanted to go in, but the owner closed it down for some reason not too long into the 70's. I was still under 10. He and his wife ended up living down the street from us. They had a little kid who always wanted to play with me --- he must have been about 5 or 6 and I thought he was too little for me to bother with, but I would play with him just so I could see that sign which his Dad hung up in their funky dining room. I have no idea why I am thinking of it, but it was a great name for a club.
Well, I am off to NYC for a long weekend. I will report of my adventures when I return! I cut myself shaving last night -- really bad. So, I am going to be extra pretty in the Big Apple! ...matt with wound.
